Ozzy Osbourne’s former guitarist Jack E. Lee shares health update two days after being shot multiple times

Ozzy Osbourne’s former lead guitarist Jake E. Lee has shared an update on his condition just two days after he was shot multiple times.

The musician broke his silence on Thursday in a post shared on the Facebook page of his band Red Dragon Cartel.

After thanking fans for their condolences, the 67-year-old rocker opened by clarifying that he had been “shot three times.”

“I was on my way back home from walking my dog Coco (I didn’t name him so don’t do that!),” Lee explained, attaching a photo of the adorable pooch.

β€œI don’t want to go into details now, I’m tired, but I’m relatively lucky,” he continued, before outlining how the shooting could have been so much worse.

“Police found 15 bullet casings at the scene, which means he emptied his clip on me,” Lee explained, before sharing the grisly details.

β€œI could only dodge so many, so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot and one in the back, breaking a rib and damaging a lung,” he revealed. ‘The priority now is to deflate my lung until he finishes crying. Then we can pull that tube out and focus on the smaller injuries.”

Despite the heavy content, the guitarist ended on a light note.

“And by the way, Coco is doing great and appreciates your questions!” he wrote.

Although he did not include a photo of himself after the attack, Lee’s gray and white dog was pictured lying on a red leather couch as he appeared ready to fall asleep.

Lee’s rep previously said he was shot “several times” in a “street shooting.”

β€œLee is fully conscious and doing well in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Las Vegas,” he said.

Even before his update, he was expected to make a full recovery.

Initial investigations indicate the shooting was “completely random,” although few details have emerged so far.

According to police, Lee was walking his dog around 2:45 a.m. when the shooting occurred.

The incident is now being investigated by police.

On Tuesday, Ozzy Osbourne responded to his former guitarist’s shocking attack as he spoke TMZ.

β€œIt’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but I’m still shocked to hear what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence,” the legendary Black Sabbath frontman stated.

“Sending my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter Jade,” he continued, adding, “I just hope he’s doing well.”

Lee is best known for his five-year stint as Osbourne’s lead guitarist from 1982 to 1987.

He was called up to replace former guitarist Brad Gillis, but was unceremoniously fired from the band five years later during a phone conversation with Sharon Osbourne.
