Shocked onlookers saw a crazed fan of Ozark star Laura Linney punch her young assistant in the head as she emerged from a show at New York Fashion Week.
The actress sat front row at the Christian Siriano Fashion Show alongside Janet Jackson and Alicia Silverstone at the Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side.
But it became an unpleasant situation when she waited outside among the crowd for a car to pick her up.
A heavyset fan carrying an autograph book tried to push past her assistant and reacted angrily when he couldn’t reach the star, hitting him on the back of the head before walking away.
‘Oh my God!’ shouted an onlooker, “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

The moment was captured by TikToker mickmicknyc, who captioned it: “Why celebrities need bodyguards!”
The four-time Emmy winner already looked nervous as she left the show, looking up and down the street anxiously.
“It’s chaos in here, don’t worry, we’ll figure it out,” someone assures her.
The crazy fan then sees approaching from behind and pokes her in the back with his pen, causing the assistant to say, “Hey, hey! No, don’t do that’.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” the man replies, before lashing out at the slightly built assistant.
“Are you okay?” the Big C actress asks him as she puts her hand on his shoulder and the attacker storms back to the hotel.
“Okay, everything’s going well,” he assures her and smiles as he guides her to the car that has now arrived.
The video has been viewed more than 1.3 million times and many viewers were shocked by the vulnerability of celebrities at the event.
“I’ve seen this guy so many times,” wrote Lauren Chavez, “my office is across from the rock center and he’s always waiting for the celebrities to leave today’s show.”
It was all smiles as the star emerged from the event just seconds before the attack

“That man is a real red flag!!” wrote Laurens.
“Show the police that they should be charged with assault.”
“Right now, bodyguards need bodyguards to protect them from cases like this,” another added.
The NYPD said it had not received a report on the incident.
