Owning Manhattan’s Ryan Serhant is furiously mocked for bragging about his ‘really, really hard’ schedule… which sees him working just 10 hours in the office: ‘Try being a teacher!’

Manhattan owner Ryan Serhant is being criticized for his “disciplined” work schedule. Social media users claim it’s not actually that “hard.”

The 40-year-old Serhant boss shared his typical Monday in a video he posted on TikTok, revealing that he wakes up at 4:18 a.m. after just five hours of sleep and fills his day with internal meetings with his developers and finance teams.

After waking at the crack of dawn, Ryan starts his day by spending an hour reading the latest headlines and answering emails. Then, at 5:30 a.m., he hits the gym, showers, and drops his daughter Zena off at school.

However, social media users have noticed that Ryan doesn’t arrive at the office until 8am and finishes work at 6:30pm.

He also doesn’t have to deal with the stressful commute because he has a driver, and he also employs a nutritionist so he doesn’t have to ‘think about food’.

The real estate mogul explained his schedule in a video he shared to his TikTok, captioning it, “I didn’t expect the reactions to the screenshot of last Monday’s schedule. Anyone else using the 1000 Minute Rule?”

In the video he says, “I look at my schedule and think, I didn’t do enough today.

“My main goal is not to be successful. My main goal is to be happy. If being really, really busy makes me happy, that’s great for me.”

He continued, “I’m very disciplined. I rely incredibly heavily on discipline. I don’t know if I’m that talented, but I know that I work really hard and hard work trumps talent when talent doesn’t work hard.

“And I know that I will outwork, outwork and outperform everyone around me because I will have a disciplined schedule.

“And I have great people around me. I don’t just manage my own schedule; I have four assistants plus a driver. I have a nutritionist, so I don’t have to think about food, [and] a personal trainer.’

Ryan went on to say that he has surrounded himself with people who “make him stronger.”

“I guess you could say it’s totally crazy,” he continued. “I love it and I’m really working hard to get to a point where I can find people to help me, but I think it’s people first, product second, and then profit, if you’re lucky.”

But not everyone is convinced that his schedule is so ‘tough’.

“I can’t imagine a world where this is a tough schedule,” someone wrote on X.

‘The guy works out, takes his kids to school and doesn’t start work until 8:00. Then he has a few meetings, wraps up with a client dinner at 6:30 and that’s it.

“If he didn’t have a client, he’d be all done by 6:30, except for a few emails. If this is hard for people – whew.”

Another wrote: ‘This is like making a daily list of 35 things, knowing you can easily do 28 of them. Or having already done them and checked them off before they’re even on a list.’

A third commented: ‘He seems to have terrible time management skills. Many people would (and do) what he does in half if not 1/3 of the time.’

A fourth added: ‘Yes, this is a pretty typical day. I wake up at 5:30 and have time for exercises and devotions, start work at 8 and then continue until 6 or 7.

“I have multiple people managing my schedule (I’ve given that authority to other people). I’m very productive and run multiple businesses in about 65 hours a week. It’s not ‘hard’, it’s just what I signed up for as an entrepreneur.”

However, others defended Ryan, saying his active routine was “exhausting” and that not many people could “keep it up.”

“He works from 8am to 6:30pm? That’s definitely longer than most people,” someone reasoned.

Another stated: ‘I know Ryan well. One factor to consider is that he has to be ‘on’ for about 13 hours a day.

That’s tiring and very little [people] can keep it up. He has an exceptional drive and discipline. My job also requires me to be ‘on’, but fortunately only 2-3 hours a day.’

A third said: ‘Saying this about someone who runs one of the best real estate companies in NYC is just ridiculous. His schedule is busy and stressful too. Be serious.’

“Believe it or not, a ten-hour workday is not what humans are designed for,” said another. “So yeah, it would be tough for most.”

Ryan founded his real estate company Serhant in 2020, two years after starting his own entertainment and media company, Serhant Media Group.

He is one of the most successful real estate agents in the world and his recently released Netflix series follows his business deals.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com last month, he revealed how big his company has become.

He said, ‘We’re a growing brokerage firm, and we have other things here. We have Sellit.com, we do a lot of education, we have a media company. There’s just a lot of movement.

‘In the real estate field, we are growing every day. New agents are joining every day.’
