Owning Manhattan’s Jess Emily Taylor brands Netflix show ‘incredibly stressful’ as she lifts the lid on behind-the-scenes drama with ‘jealous’ cast mates

Owning Manhattan star Jess Emily Taylor has opened up about the tensions between the cast of the new Netflix series, revealing that there was “jealousy and insecurity” behind the scenes.

The 35-year-old Serhant agent spoke candidly about a behind-the-scenes commotion in a video she posted to her TikTok earlier this week, in which she described how “incredibly stressful” the experience had been.

Besides not having a wardrobe budget and not knowing how to act on camera, Jess hinted that one of the biggest struggles was not letting other agents influence her.

“There are a lot of cast members and that brings up a lot of… I would say jealousy and insecurity,” she said.

‘People were always asking how much you were filming and what you were doing, I was doing this, I was doing that. I was doing this with Ryan, I was there 10 times today.

“And just trying to ignore all the noise and stay in your lane… honestly, I haven’t let it pass me by, but I can imagine it might irritate some people.”

Jess, who did not name her co-stars, added: “I really had to go above and beyond and pretend that I was filming what I was filming. Who knows how it’s going to be edited, but I’m just going to do my best and see how it goes.”

DailyMail.com previously reported that tensions behind the scenes had reached boiling point off-camera, with cast members Jonathan Nørmølle, Jade Shenker and Chloe Tucker Caine involved in heated arguments.

After the season debuted on Netflix on June 28, Jonathan, 27, made it clear he had no regrets about his actions on the show, with Ryan, 40, firing him in the series finale.

He also claimed that he deliberately put himself in a position to be fired so that he could get out of his contract.

Insiders recently told DailyMail.com that many agents initially had reservations about Jonathan joining Serhant.

“Not only was his behavior toward others a cause for concern, but some believe he exaggerated his level of experience before joining the company,” an insider claimed.

Elsewhere, a second source revealed that Jonathan has taken revenge on Jade’s recent claim that he is ‘fake’ by telling everyone she wouldn’t be on the show at all.

“He keeps reminding everyone that Jade wasn’t even in the original cast,” a second insider revealed. “There was another agent who eventually dropped out and then Jade was allowed to join the show.

‘Jonathan thinks she just wants 15 minutes of fame and believes she hasn’t even sold as much real estate as she claims.’

Meanwhile, Chloe hit out at Jade on Instagram after she revealed to DailyMail.com that she had blocked her co-star for allegedly trolling her on TikTok.

“You’ve seen five minutes of something that’s been going on for months,” the new mother fumed in a reaction video on Instagram. “And you think I’m shady?”

Chloe then went on to post screenshots of the pair’s recent phone conversations as she clapped back: “Really??? Are we not good friends now? This is how many times we’ve spoken in the last 48 hours alone…

‘Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice?! (I don’t remember how this saying ends, but you get the drift!!!) ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, ON A HUNGRY FAMOUS.’

The successful realtor then claimed that she was the one who introduced Jade to the person who helped her secure a $42 million building and who first made her a Serhant realtor.

Jade was quick to respond with a series of rebuttals on her Instagram stories, as well as posting comments directly under Chloe’s posts. It seemed like she wasn’t bothered by her estranged friend’s claims.

Chloe later became embroiled in an online conflict with another former employee.

Former assistant Lindsey Welch was a source of conflict between Chloe and fellow agent Jordan March, after the latter hired the assistant shortly after Chloe decided to split.

The issue led to a heated exchange between Chloe and Jordan in the series’ second episode, before they later made up.

The comments about Lindsey, however, appear to have angered the employee, who wrote on Instagram: “Put me on the pod too because you said you ‘fired’ me when the truth is it didn’t work out between us because you were an incompetent officer.

“And I forgot to mention that you texted me asking to come back, but you have to leave now.”

She added: ‘Let’s be honest, I taught myself everything I know through trial and error because no one else put that in me.

“On Chloe and Jordan’s team, I was the one who made $59,000.00+ in sales that hit market value. I didn’t get accredited for anything.”

She continued, “It was extremely painful – especially seeing others rewarded for mediocrity. It took me over a year to grieve and heal from that disappointment. I took it on my conscience and have since started over as a solo agent.”

Chloe responded on Instagram, writing: ‘Let’s just nip this in the bud now because people are happy to come out and twist the story to get their 5 minutes. Un-f**king-believable.’
