Owen Wilson had all-access lifetime pass to Rolling Stones shows taken away after just one day
Owen Wilson I learned the hard way that you can’t always get what you want, especially when you get in the way of a Mick Jagger performance.
During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday, the actor revealed he had a lifetime laminated pass, giving him access to any Rolling Stones show in the world, rescinded after just one day.
Wilson, who had gotten the last connection of his life through a friend, walked onto an area of the stage during a Stones show in Argentina that was unknowingly off-limits.
“I was a bit of a friend to some of the band members and then my friend was a very good friend of Mick Jagger,” explained the 54-year-old. ‘Have [presented with] these special, all-access type laminates that were good for the rest of your life.’
Reinforcing the importance of lifetime passes, Wilson shared that his fandom for the Rolling Stones dates back to the early 1980s, when he saw the band on the Tattoo You Tour, which was his first concert experience.

Describing the [all-access pass] Gifted as “really exciting,” Wilson’s euphoria at knowing he could attend any Rolling Stones show for the rest of his life was short-lived.
‘That night at the concert, I was going around and testing it, like, “I’m going to walk up here and see if anyone stops me.” And no one would stop me anywhere,” he told Corden and guest Jeff Goldblum.
“I ended up right in this place where I could look over and see Mick Jagger on stage, and right there, all of a sudden, he’s shooting out during Jumpin’ Jack Flash and running down.”
The Behind Enemy Lines star revealed that the ever-energetic Jagger ended up running right at him, catching him completely off guard.
“It turns out that where I was, it was a little bit part of the scenery, so I just froze and tried to not be noticed, and he came down and left,” recalled the Dallas, Texas native, adding: “And then someone came running , [shouting,] “Get out of here! Move! You’re not supposed to be here!” Me too [said]”I didn’t know! I’m so sorry!”‘
The experience haunted Wilson the rest of the night and into the next morning.
“I went to bed that night still thinking, ‘Well, gosh, that was a bit of a twisted experience,'” he shared of the concert in Argentina, which apparently did not go down well with Jagger.
“Then I got a call the next morning from Mick’s security asking, ‘Do you have that laminate?'” he continued. “‘Yeah, I still have it. Okay, we’re going to come and pick it up.'”

As it turns out, Wilson got in the way of Jagger’s performance, and a team member immediately notified him: “And then someone came running, [shouting,] “Get out of here! Move! You’re not supposed to be here!” Me too [said]”I didn’t know! I’m so sorry!”‘
Heartbreaking: After revealing how the experience haunted him until the next morning, Jagger’s security team called Wilson the next day to ask him to return the laminate.
And just like that, a former Rolling Stones fan had lost his all-access lifetime pass.
And to top it off: Wilson unknowingly broke a dress code, which made him stand out even more in that stage area during that show in Argentina.
“He was also dressed in a white T-shirt and white pants, and if you’re in this part of the stage, where you’re not supposed to be, you should be in dark colors where you blend in,” Wilson said. he said after the fact. ‘So I get it, you know? He has a show to do. He doesn’t need some kind of bozo just hanging around distracting him.’
Captivated by the story, Corden and Goldblum seemed visibly regretful that their ‘all-access lifetime pass’ had been taken away.
“I only had him for 24 hours,” Wilson said, as Corden and Goldblum were stunned by the story.
Say it ain’t so: Corden and Goldblum were visibly sorry for Wilson taking away his all-access lifetime pass to the Rolling Stones.
