An “overwhelmed” Oprah Winfrey was speechless when asked about the Hawaii wildfire disaster as she distributed supplies to survivors at a rescue center.
The 69-year-old talk show host donated pillows, diapers and shampoo bottles to people sheltering at War Memorial Stadium in Maui after asking the victims what they needed.
Winfrey, 69, has lived part-time on Maui for over 15 years and owns more than 2,000 acres on the island with three different properties on the island.
“It’s overwhelming…but I’m very happy to have so many people supporting me…bringing what they can and doing what they can.”
“I used to come just to see what people needed and then go shopping because a lot of the time you donate clothes or whatever and it’s not really what people need. So I basically went to Walmart and Costco and bought pillows, shampoo, diapers, sheets, pillowcases.”
Meanwhile, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is believed to have helped some 70 families to safety, while also providing people with places to stay, food to eat and clothes to wear. TMZ reported.

“Fleetwood’s on Front Street has been lost and while we are heartbroken, our number one priority is the safety of our precious employees and team members.”
