Viewers outraged after elderly Aussie bloke stops to joke with a young woman at a ‘nudist’ beach – but was it really that bad?

A young woman was sunbathing on the beach when she was ‘rudely’ interrupted by an older man walking past.

Astrid was sitting fully clothed on the sand, minding her own business, when the man made a comment that many described as “disturbing.”

‘Hello, if you want to sunbathe and you don’t have [swimming] costume, that’s fine. It’s a nudist beach – you have to take everything off,” he was heard saying on video footage.

Astrid tried to laugh it off, but he replied that he meant it “seriously.” After an awkward silence, he changed his tone, said he was joking, and walked away.

The awkward interaction left Astrid shocked, as she was simply trying to film a “cute TikTok” and enjoy the view in peace.

The clip has now been viewed more than 371,000 times and has sparked outrage among women, many of whom have faced similar behavior.

The majority agreed that the comment was “disgusting,” while others felt that older generations have a “dry sense of humor.”

“Old people say the most random things,” someone wrote.

“Uh, what the hell is wrong? I’m so sorry, honey,” said another.

‘OMG what is wrong with people? Can’t we have anything at all? I hope you’re okay girl,’ added a third.

“So awkward to hear those comments about you. I’m so sorry! You handled it the best you could. I thought this was going to be something good.”

Others gave the man the benefit of the doubt because of his age, saying such comments would have been acceptable “in his day.”

‘Old women have said similar creepy things, old people are just weird. I don’t think about it, just move on and look at the funny side,’ one person wrote.

“I don’t think he was trying to be inappropriate. The older generation can just have a dry sense of humor and I think he was just trying to be funny,” said another.
