A Speedo-clad man has sparked outrage for dancing provocatively in a children’s fountain in Brazil as young children splashed around him.
Video footage shows the nearly naked man standing directly above a stream of water on Saturday and twerking in the fountain on Gonzaguinha beach in São Vicente.
A crowd of boys and girls could be seen running next to him as he smiled mischievously at the camera.
The bizarre behavior of the unknown man was quickly condemned by the mayor of São Vicente, Kayo Amado.
“He’s an idiot,” Amado said in a post on Instagram.
“There’s just nothing to say about a man, an adult, shaking his hips and doing things like that in the midst of children in a fountain made for children.”
Signs around the fountain prohibit adults from jumping in unaccompanied by children.
“Frankly, this type of behavior will not be tolerated,” Amado added.

The mayor’s office provided images to São Paulo’s civilian police in hopes of identifying the man.
Viewers were surprised by the parents’ lack of response and condemned the man’s behavior.
‘There are a lot of mothers and no one cares! someone wrote in response to the mayor’s post. ‘Ridiculous what he’s doing…no respect.’
‘An absurdity. Children should be respected,” another added. “Scenes like this are disrespectful in the eyes of minors.”
The playground, known as the Fountain of Children, was built by the city in a part of the beach that was once abandoned.
