A home hacks guru has shared how to keep pesky mosquitoes and spiders away from your next outdoor dinner party with her stylish centerpiece.
Chantel Ibbotson, known for Mama Mila made a chic table decoration online with a candle, lemon and rosemary.
The mother-of-two from Melbourne said it is the perfect centerpiece for outdoor entertaining as the aromas naturally repel mosquitoes, flies and spiders.

Chantel starts by filling a clear glass vase with water and adding three sprigs of rosemary and a whole sliced lemon.
She tops it off by placing a floating candle on the surface of the water to release the aromas.
“You can add a floating citronella candle to it to make it stronger, but this is a natural alternative,” she added.
Chantel’s clip has been viewed more than 2.4 million times and wowed fans in the comments.
“I can’t wait to try these,” said one viewer, and another wrote, “This is beautiful even if the crawlers weren’t there.”

Some recommended adding hot water to better release the scents.
‘Vineyards in Portugal plant rosemary and lavender to repel mosquitoes and other insects (natural pest repellent). I was told to cut off branches from both, place them in water and place them around the kitchen. This will repel pests,” one woman explained.
‘Diluted vinegar. Vinegar makes the biggest difference. “I saw a plate of mosquitoes and I sprayed the vinegar and they all disappeared,” one person suggested.
