Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen is reportedly planning her comeback to television following revelations about her secret affair with Robert Davies.

The 48-year-old, known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, is apparently planning to return to screens with her ex-husband Clive, 68, following their split in June 2022 after 21 years together due to Amanda’s infidelity.

Fearing her reputation was at stake after her five-year affair with the 71-year-old businessman, Amanda plans to revive her television career.

The mother-of-nine returns to Channel 4’s Our Farm Next Door, which will see Amanda, Clive and their son Reuben, 19, renovate a farm. The sun reported.

A source close to the family said: ‘Amanda’s ego has taken a hit. Her popularity fell off a cliff after the affair came to light.

“She knows the only way she can get back on TV, and for it to be successful, is for Clive to be involved and for them to be a united front.”

MailOnline has contacted Amanda’s representatives for comment.

Despite Clive’s heartbreak, he promised to continue working with her on the farm after her affair was exposed.

It comes after Amanda’s lover Robert, who has been married five times, split from his estranged wife Yasumi, 56, after she exposed their affair in April.

The romance came to light after his wife found a love letter from Amanda in the trunk of his car. The letter read: ‘Robert, life is too short and happiness is too rare. I love you.’

A source said The sun that the divorce proceedings have begun.

Heartbroken: Amanda’s lover Robert is divorcing his estranged wife Yasumi, 56, after she exposed their affair in April

Family: The former couple has nine children together: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie and Nancy

On behalf of Yasumi, they said: ‘She finds it very difficult and stressful. It’s been a terrible twelve months for her and it’s not getting any easier.

‘Robert has moved to a rental property and is trying to get the legal procedure in order.

“Yasumi suspects that he wants to finalize the divorce as quickly as possible so that he and Amanda can be together.”

Amanda’s image as a devoted farmer and mother was shattered by the news that she was living a double life, having an affair with Robert while still married to Clive, who appears on the show with her.

The married couple issued a joint statement in June saying they had made “the difficult decision to part ways.”

The Yorkshire shepherdess said the couple had succumbed to the ‘pressure’ but had to ‘just get on with it’.

Speaking to the Radio Times, she said: ‘Look, there are two simple facts: if he thought I was brilliant, and I thought he was brilliant, then we wouldn’t have split up.

‘It’s a fact, isn’t it? But you know what, that’s not unique, it’s just how things are, busy and the rest.

‘But we have nine children, with friends, and we just have to get on with it.’

The couple share children: Raven, 21, Reuben, 19, Miles, 16, Edith, 14, Violet, 12, Sidney, 11, Annas, 9, Clemmy, 7, and six-year-old Nancy.
