Vladimir Putin’s raging TV propagandists have called for the destruction of Britain with nuclear weapons, following reports that Britain is about to allow Ukraine to use its Storm Shadow missiles in Russia.
Kremlin mouthpieces compete with each other to outline the most shocking and devastating war plans imaginable, with countless commentators describing how far Russia could go with a nuclear strike.
One suggested dropping Russia’s Satan-2 missile on Trafalgar Square, widely described as ‘the world’s deadliest weapon’, while another urged Putin to use Poseidon’s new super-fast underwater drone and put Britain under to sink a radioactive tidal wave.
It comes as US intelligence has led to the closure of several Western embassies in Kiev, amid an expected massive Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital following the use of a US ATACMS missile to hit Putin’s territory.
Russian state media analyst Vladimir Kornilov lashed out at British headlines, saying Storm Shadows are “ready for use in Russia” following the Ukrainian deployment of US missiles.
“Look, well, I must say that our Sarmat missiles (Satan-2) are also ready, always ready for use on Trafalgar Square,” Kornilov threatened.
Hypersonic Sarmat – known in the West as Satan-2 – is a 208-ton intercontinental silo-launched nuclear weapon traveling at 25,880 km per hour, the size of a 14-storey tower block, which Putin claims is unstoppable by the West.
The Mach 25 missiles each carry ten 750-kiloton nuclear warheads and have a range of 12,000 kilometers.
But Putin’s chief propagandist Vladimir Soloviev said there was a better way to sink Britain, with the new Poseidon drone, a weapon unmatched by Western technology.

Vladimir Putin on Tuesday morning signed an updated version of the Kremlin’s nuclear doctrine, expanding Moscow’s options for turning to its fearsome nuclear arsenal
“I want to see the Poseidon (a super-fast nuclear underwater drone) – it’s so beautiful,” he told state television viewers across Russia’s 11 time zones.
‘This is the beauty of this (tidal) wave, the glow of the radiation, and then (Britain) is washed away like that.
‘These stables of British imperialism have been washed away – astonishingly.’
Like Satan-2, it’s far from clear that “unlimited range” Poseidon is properly tested. Nevertheless, Putin considers it part of his new nuclear arsenal and classifies it as a ‘superweapon’.
It is designed to carry strategic nuclear warheads of up to 100 megatons and can cause catastrophic destruction.
It can also be used as a tactical weapon with less firepower.
According to some reports, its underwater speed is up to 185 km/h, with the ability to operate at depths below 900 meters.

Meanwhile, Putin’s propaganda warriors released footage they saw in July that listed seven specific targets in England and Scotland, while also emphasizing that “all European capitals are at risk.”

He accused the ‘Western Bloc’ of misinterpreting the impact of US action on Russia, as highlighted at the recent NATO summit in the US.
“No reaction, no reflection and no attempt to analyze the implications,” he said.
“A quick look at the missile specifications is enough to realize that the US is throwing Europe into the crucible of a world war with guaranteed mutual destruction.”
Putin yesterday signed an updated version of the Kremlin’s nuclear doctrine, expanding the possibilities for Moscow to turn to its fearsome nuclear arsenal on the same day that US-made missiles rained down on Russian soil.
The new document, first announced in September, allows Putin’s strategic forces to deploy their devastating weapons if Russia or Belarus is threatened by a non-nuclear country backed by a nuclear power.
Threats that could warrant a nuclear response from Russia’s leaders include an attack with conventional missiles, drones or other aircraft, the updated document said.
