Primary school students evacuated after sending a ‘threatening e-mail’: police rush and director raises the alarm for parents

Dozens of students have been urgently evacuated after their school received a ‘threatening email’ as police scrambled to find the mysterious sender.
Children attending Our Lady of the Rosary in Fairfield, western Sydney, were evacuated Friday morning to nearby Patrician Brothers Fairfield College.
Principal Jackie Vella informed parents just after 11 a.m. that the school had received a “threatening email,” but that their children were safe.
“This morning our school received a threatening email and as a result we evacuated staff and students to Patrician Brothers Fairfield,” she said.

“This is just a precautionary measure while the police are on site and are handling the email.
“There is no need to worry, your children are safe and cared for. If you want to pick them up, you can do so at the Patrician Brothers College, but you don’t have to and you don’t have to hurry.’
A few hours after the first report, the parents received an update from the director.
Ms. Vella thanked the parents who picked up their children from the university and confirmed that the students were safe with their teachers.
Parents were told that the children would be taken back to the school grounds and after school care would continue as usual.

Our Lady of the Rosary is a primary school in Sydney’s Western Suburbs for pupils aged 5 to 12 years old.
