Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday said his government has fulfilled 45 percent of the pre-election promises made in the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’.
He said empowerment of youth, farmers and women and welfare of the poor through policies and schemes are priority areas for his government.
Sharma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 17th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi soon after coming to power in his third term.
The country will be prosperous and happy only with the prosperity of farmers, he added.
The Prime Minister addressed the felicitation ceremony of Union Agriculture Minister Bhagirath Chaudhary in Kishangarh.
He said that the Rajasthan government is working for all-round development of all sections. “Our government has accelerated work on the ERCP project keeping in view the water needs of eastern Rajasthan,” Sharma added.
He said that work is underway to give concrete shape to the Yamuna Water Agreement for the Shekhawati and Dewas projects.
Farmers have been given Rs 2,400 MSP by giving a bonus of Rs 125 on wheat purchase, the chief minister said, adding that Rajasthan is moving rapidly on the path of progress in the agriculture sector with the distribution of crop loans, solar pumps and Gopal Credit .
