It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE launch is now imminent – and thanks to a filing with the US regulatory body FCC (Federal Communications Commission), we may now have our first proper look at the upcoming mid-ranger.
As noted by MySmartPriceThe Galaxy S24 FE now appears to have passed FCC inspection, part of the standard process for gadgets offered for sale in the US. The phone was also previously spotted at regulators in India.
Read our Samsung Galaxy S23 FE review and you’ll see that these mid-range ‘Fan Edition’ versions of the flagships are still worth considering as smartphone upgrades, offering decent specs for a reasonable price.
And Samsung clearly thinks it’s worth bringing a Galaxy S24 FE device to the world. You may recall that there was no FE version of the Samsung Galaxy S22, which launched in 2022, but it looks like the series is now back in full force.
What can you expect?
The photos in the filing don’t tell us much about the phone, but the accompanying documents list its dimensions as 162mm x 77.3mm. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S24 measures 147mm x 70.6mm.
It seems the Exynos 2400 processor will be powering the phone, and there will be support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and 5G, as you’d expect. Reverse wireless charging technology, at up to 9W, is also mentioned in the documentation.
Based on the leaked renders we’ve already seen, it appears that this device will share a design similar to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus. However, the build quality won’t be as premium (and the phone will cost less as a result).
Since support documents for the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE have already appeared on Samsung’s websites, we probably won’t have to wait much longer for the official unveiling. We will of course keep you updated.
