Oscar-nominated actress, 76, worked with Martin Scorsese and Robert Redford. Can you guess who?

This Oscar-nominated star once romanced Warren Beatty and starred in films directed by some of the greatest directors of the past century.

She is recognized as one of the best actresses of her generation and has worked with filmmakers such as Robert Redford, Martin Scorsese, Jane Campion and Darren Aronofsky.

In addition to her Academy Award nomination, she has won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for the 1990 television film A Killing In A Small Town.

While she starred in numerous critically acclaimed films, she was also a perennial favorite of horror fans after appearances in The Entity (1982), Aronofsky’s Black Swan (2010) and the Insidious franchise.

One of her most recent films was the well-reviewed revenge thriller Strange Darling, which hit theaters earlier this year.

Last year, the Hollywood hippie at heart – who doesn’t eat sugar or grains – played wise beacon keeper Sophie in two episodes of MGM+ sci-fi psychological thriller, Beacon 23.

Barbara also memorably played the eccentric doomsday prepper Genevieve in JT Mollner’s critically acclaimed serial killer thriller Strange Darling, shot by actor Giovanni Ribisi, who made his debut as a cinematographer.

On December 5, Hershey (née Herzstein) scored a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the 52nd Saturn Awards, which take place on February 2 at Hilton Universal City in Los Angeles.

The Emmy winner will face tough competition against Emma Corrin, Rebecca Ferguson, Juliette Lewis, Margaret Qualley, Cailee Spaeny and Zendaya.

On December 4, Bette Midler tagged Barbara in “a little Wednesday throwback for more holiday cheer” of one of their scenes from their 1988 hit about old female friendship, Beaches.

When audiences last saw Bette’s admittedly selfish, bawdy character CC Bloom, she had been given primary physical custody of Hillary’s daughter Victoria Essex (Grace Johnston).

On a personal note, Hershey had 52-year-old son Tom Carradine during her six-year relationship with her Heaven with a Gun co-star David Carradine, which ended in 1975.

Barbara also dated her Drowning on Dry Land co-star Naveen Andrews from 1999-2009 after divorcing artist Stephen Douglas in 1993 after just a year of marital bliss.
