Osasuna striker Ante Budimir has laid claim to the heaviest penalty of all time after botching a disastrous late effort against Valencia on Monday night.
The Croatian had the chance to rescue a draw for the LaLiga home side in the dying stages of stoppage time, after initially winning a controversial penalty.
Budimir got the chance to grab a point for Osasuna after being kicked in the back leg by Valencia defender Hugo Guillamon.
He strode confidently as the El Sadar Stadium held its breath in anticipation, only to wish the ground would swallow him up moments later as the ball settled into goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili’s hands.
Budimir looked torn between whether to opt for strength or try to sneak the ball through the center of the goal, but instead almost tripped as he went to take his shot.
