Orlando Bloom and his fiancée Katy Perry will lend their voices to one of the world’s most beloved animated series.

The actor, 46, will appear as a brand new character for Peppa Pig’s 20th anniversary wedding special.

Orlando will collaborate with Katy, 38, on a unique episode titled the Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special.

Both Bloom and Perry completed their work before the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which continues as actors seek a fair contract with Hollywood’s studios and streamers.

Hasbro announced the addition of Katy in the special episode last week.

“We are thrilled to have such a top talent joining the family adventures in PEPPA PIG!” said Olivier Dumont, president of Hasbro Entertainment.

The Fireworks hitmaker makes her debut in a three-part series of the British cartoon as Mrs Leopard, a friendly local clothes maker.

“As a loving parent and fan of Peppa himself, Katy Perry is a perfect fit to portray the character of Mrs. Leopard,” Dumont added, referring to Katy’s three-year-old daughter Daisy, whom she shares with actor Orlando.

Peppa Pig is an iconic children’s show that has been entertaining young audiences for almost twenty years.

With nine seasons under its belt and a global presence in more than 180 regions by 2023, the show is all about Peppa Pig.

Peppa is an adorable little pig and her adventures with her family, including her younger brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig, as well as a fun group of friends from their community.

Katy’s character, Mrs. Leopard, joins the group and ‘helps prepare for the very first Peppa Pig wedding’ as ‘Mr. Bull and Mrs. Cow surprise everyone with their wedding announcement,” said a statement from Hasbro.

‘This is just one of the many exciting projects we have in the pipeline for fans and families to commemorate PEPPA PIG’s 20th anniversary in 2024, such as live events and attractions, products and partnerships, Peppa parties across the whole world and much more,” Dumont added.

‘Everyone is invited to our annual party!’

As the Hollywood SAG strike continues, Hasbro also revealed in a statement that “all casting and filming for the PEPPA PIG Wedding Party Special was contracted and completed prior to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes and is in compliance with the SAG-AFTRA rules and conditions’.

The Peppa Pig special isn’t the first time Katy has lent her dulcet tones to an animated project.

She began her film career by voicing Smurfette in the 2011 live-action Smurfs film and returned for the 2013 sequel.

She also made a cameo as herself in an episode of The Simpsons.

Meanwhile, the Grammy winner has been rocking a Las Vegas residency at the Theater at Resorts World since December 2021.

She will give the last show on November 4.
