Orlando Bloom proudly supported his fiancée Katy Perry as she performed a medley of her hits at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
But fans couldn’t help but notice the surprised faces he made during her performance.
As the camera switched to the Lord Of The Rings star at various points, the 47-year-old Orlando appeared stunned.
Orlando has been engaged to Katy, 39, since 2019 and has a four-year-old daughter, Daisy, together. However, fans have jokingly wondered whether he knew the lyrics to her songs, based on his facial expressions.

Fans couldn’t help but notice Orlando Bloom making some confused faces during Katy Perry’s performance at the 2024 MTV VMAs; he had a tense expression on his face as he watched her sing I’m His, He’s Mine.
“Orlando Bloom doesn’t know any Katy Perry songs have you seen his face,” posted another. “He already told y’all he didn’t fall in love with Katy he fell in love with Katheryn,” the viewer added, referencing an earlier quote from Bloom about his relationship with Perry.
“Orlando Bloom has never heard a Katy Perry song,” claimed another viewer.
“Every time Orlando Bloom hears a song it’s like he’s hearing a Katy Perry song for the first time,” wrote another.
The first time the camera switched to Bloom was during her sensual performance of I’m His, He’s Mine with rapper Doechii, their collaboration for her upcoming album 143.
He had a tense expression on his face, but suddenly brightened up.
Several fans reacted to his expression on Twitter. One of them said: ‘Orlando looked shocked when Katy almost kissed Doechii.’
The confused faces remained visible during a performance of her song California Gurlz, one of her biggest hits.
The actor nodded along to the song with a nervous expression on his face.

Perry received the Video Vanguard Award this year.
