A two-bedroom detached house has been put up for sale, but critics have branded it ‘shoddy’ and some say it is the ‘whitest’ property they have ever seen.
The property, which is ironically located in Whitehaven, Cumbria, used to have three bedrooms, but the current owner converted it into two bedrooms many years ago.
Built on the Highlands estate, the property claims the area has been a firm favorite among buyers for many years due to its proximity to the city centre.
From the outside, the house looks like an ordinary new-build detached house.
But it’s only when you look at the interior photos that you start to discover the reason why so many people have focused on it.
It includes a central hall with a small toilet on the left and leads to the living room, where except for the sofa and the fireplace, everything in the house is white.
This includes the sun blinds, the cabinet where the television is located and even the floor.
From the seating area to the kitchen: the chosen theme remains obvious.

However, the kitchen is the first part of the house where the all-white theme is broken and you notice that the countertop is actually black marble.
Although there is a navy blue and white carpet that presumably leads to the door leading to the backyard.

Moving upstairs, it becomes clear that the owner had a very strong vision for the color scheme of the house. Everything that could be white was made white, including the beds, bedding, chest of drawers and even the floors.
The first floor has two bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, and a bathroom.
There is also a spacious garden at the front and rear and a driveway that provides access to the garage.
The minimalist approach has taken the internet by storm. Some liked the simple approach, while others called it ‘rank’ and ‘insane’.

Meanwhile, others resorted to observations about the city, with one saying: “There is no way anyone on God’s green earth is paying $235,000 to live in Whitehaven.”
However, not everyone hated the house. Some said: ‘I love it, it’s minimalist and it looks soooo clean.’
Another said: ‘It must be easy to decorate, white is easy to paint over as a base.’
