The two tech giants have announced an extension of their decade-long partnership that aims to help companies embrace and scale AI applications and platforms faster than ever.

AI push

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang took the stage at Oracle Cloud World 2022 in Las Vegas and joined Oracle CEO Safra Catz to extol the values of the expanded partnership.

Huang noted that Nvidia’s move to bring workloads to OCI will help users “find a way to let you do more, without spending so much more and consuming so much more power.”

In the news, services like the Nvidia AI Enterprise platform will come to OCI for the first time, opening up opportunities for companies looking to improve their AI offerings at every step of the AI workflow, from data processing and AI model training to simulation and large-scale effort.

But it will soon include Nvidia Clara, the company’s AI and HPC health platform, enabling advancements in areas such as medical imaging, genomics, natural language processing and drug discovery.

There is also new early access to Nvidia Rapids, driving data processing on Apache Spark using the OCI Data Flow service and supporting the massive growth in demand for such services.

“To drive long-term success in today’s business environment, organizations need answers and insight faster than ever before,” said Catz. “Our expanded alliance with NVIDIA will bring the best of both companies’ expertise to help customers in a variety of industries – from healthcare and manufacturing to telecommunications and financial services – overcome the multitude of challenges they face.”
