Oprah Winfrey surprises Gayle King again for her birthday with unexpected A-list guest
Gayle King’s birthday celebration continued this weekend with another surprise from her BFF Oprah Winfrey.
King celebrated her 70th birthday with friends and family on Saturday before a surprise guest entered the room: Tyler Perry.
“Someone came to you,” said Oprah, 70, who gave Gayle a surprise birthday last weekend, prompting a shocked King to scream and clutch her chest in shock.
Perry, 55, playfully scolded Oprah and told her to “stop scaring” her friend before pulling Gayle in for a warm hug.
Oprah, who recently apologized to Gayle for almost giving her a “heart attack” after throwing her a surprise birthday party, promised fans she was done shocking her best friend.
“@gayleking’s actual birthday was yesterday December 28th and @tylerperry surprised her for dinner. I’m done with surprises for her after this! Promise,” she captioned the post.

It comes just weeks after King, the star personality at CBS News and editor of Oprah Daily, unknowingly walked into her own early birthday celebration.
The internet got a taste of the night after Lauren Sánchez – the 54-year-old former New Host engaged to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos – shared two posts with her social media followers.
In a video posted to Sánchez’s Instagram Stories, at least 100 people were seen standing side by side in a chic lounge singing “happy birthday” to the beloved CBS Mornings co-host.
“Happy surprise birthday @gayleking, @Oprah you made it happen,” the caption read, accompanied by a smiley face and red heart emoji.
But it wouldn’t be a real birthday party without a few tequila shots.
Sánchez snapped a photo of a four-tiered wooden bar cart topped with tequila shots, dressed with lime for the taking.
Behind the 1.5-ounce glasses was a small cartoon cutout of King, wearing a yellow dress with a martini in hand.

Luckily, Oprah delivered the one moment the internet wanted to see: Gayle unknowingly walking into her own party.
In the video shared to Instagram early Saturday afternoon, King can be seen wearing a teal maxi dress with three-quarter sleeves paired with matching heels as she walked alongside the legendary talk show host, who wore a mustard yellow jumpsuit.
King and Oprah were seen chatting as they walked through the lounge, while King seemed oblivious to the large group of familiar faces right in front of her.

She was so startled that she dropped her bag on the table next to her, while at the same time taking a few steps back and pressing both hands to her heart.

Her arrival prompted the happy birthday song, prompting an emotional response from King, who covered her mouth with her hands.
“My best friend of 50 years is turning 70, so we gathered everyone who loved her to celebrate,” Oprah wrote in the video’s caption. “It’s hard to surprise her.”
“Oh, the stories we made up, the lies we told to keep this a secret,” she added. “Congratulations @gayleking, sorry we almost gave you a heart attack.”
Earlier this year, Oprah celebrated the same milestone birthday, despite the celebration being much quieter.
She spent her winter birthday jogging on the beach and documented the moment on Instagram, where she hashtagged it: #healthisthebestgift.
King celebrated the big day by posting a precious video that captured the mogul spending some quality time with King’s grandson during an outing.
“Happy to say @oprah is still a very good reader at 70!” King wrote in the caption.
