It comes after Sir David appeared on Lorraine last month and gave a health update following his surgery – revealing his 'bionic' hip is 'amazing' after the Only Fools and Horses convention was postponed until January next year due to his health problems.
The actor confirmed his surgery had been 'successful' and filmed a video of him dramatically throwing away his crutches.
When asked how he was doing after his operation, he told Lorraine: “I'm on the mend.”
'I'm fine. I'm having a little trouble getting the muscle back because I was so weak for like two to three weeks.
'I wasn't using the legs at all, that's where I am now, getting them back, doing some exercises. But the hip itself is beautiful.'
