One person is dead as the South continues to be ravaged by tornadoes, high winds and hail.
After a tornado touched down in Manville, Texas, one person was reported dead by Mayor Dan Davis, the city’s reporter Gage Goulding said on X.
In addition to Texas, severe weather is also expected to increase again in the South included Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
More than 5,000 flights were affected by delays and 175 were canceled in or out of the US as of Saturday afternoon, according to FlightAware.com.

The Storm Prediction Center has raised the risk of a tornado to Level 4, with a tornado warning in effect for parts of East Texas and beyond.
The Storm Prediction Center said: ‘Storms will intensify rapidly throughout the afternoon, with a few severe storms expected.
“Large hail and damaging winds are the main concerns, but a few tornadoes are also possible later today as winds strengthen aloft.”
The threat of storms will shift to the southeast and east coasts of the country on Sunday and could affect Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia.
In the West, a series of river-driven storms are bringing high wands, heavy rain and mountain snow across the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies.

Other social media users have reported widespread damage in Porter Heights, Texas, after a tornado ripped through the area.
