Having previously received some criticism for his performances, Johnson has been in impressive goalscoring form of late. He scored two goals in his last three games before facing United.
As Neville acknowledged, Van de Ven’s strike was hugely unusual for a centre-half, with the 23-year-old causing all kinds of problems for United.
Van de Ven initially won the ball from United’s Marcus Rashford before moving forward with excellent results.
