One injured in fire at Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

One person was seriously injured after a kiosk at the Lincoln Memorial caught fire.

DC Fire and EMS said a fire involving a propane tank broke out around 7 a.m. Thursday at a concession stand along Lincoln Memorial Circle.

An unidentified adult male was flown to an area trauma center with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters continue to wet the kiosk and the propane tanks are secured.

The Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination said all lanes are blocked on Independence Avenue WB at 23rd Street Northwest, reported WUSA9.
