One Direction spark hopes of a reunion
One Direction has started a new group Whatsapp chat raising hopes that they will reunite indefinitely seven years after announcing their hiatus.
Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan would all be back in touch thanks to the creation of the group chat.
First founded by Simon Cowell on the X Factor, the chart-topper has released five albums in as many years.
Now fans are hoping that new music from the band could be in the works, after Liam 29 revealed they’re all talking again.
Liam recently told me The sun on Sunday: “I don’t know – but we just started a new group chat so that’s something”

He was pressured if it meant One Direction would be back soon, but he apparently shrugged and declined to comment further.
Another suggestion that the band is about to get back together is that Niall and Louis reportedly helped Liam on his new record.
They joined Liam in a Los Angeles studio where he was working on his second solo album.
According to a source, Louis and Niall recorded guest vocals for one of Liam’s new singles on the album.
An insider said: ‘Liam is good buddies with Niall and Louis so was thrilled to catch up with them while they were all in LA. Being in the studio together felt natural, so they all jumped on a song.
“It was second nature to sing together and it felt like the old days. They had a good laugh. Producers are hoping Liam will include it on his finished album, fans will love it.”
It was reported last month that Liam in particular is reportedly desperate for a One Direction reunion to revive his career.
According to him, the pop star had tried to get in touch with his former bandmates OK! Magazine.
It comes after Liam recently reunited with Louis at the premiere of his documentary All Of That Voices in London.
A source said: ‘Liam is desperate to get back out with the boys. His solo career has not remained as successful as he had hoped, and work is at a standstill for him.
He, on the other hand, can see how well Harry is doing and he would love that level of stardom for himself.

He knows he’s fallen somewhat out of favor with the public and believes the only way he can win back his fans is with a One Direction reunion.
Liam has somewhat damaged his relationship with his former bandmates in recent years – especially when he made some controversial comments on Paul Logan’s podcast.
The star caused a huge stir among the One Direction fanbase last year after making some controversial comments about the group.
He claimed that the group formed around him and that he sold out his fellow bandmates with his debut single – a fact disputed by fans.
He called Zayn Malik a “d***,” adding that there were “many reasons why I didn’t like Zayn,” and alluding to the singer’s altercation with Yolanda Hadid last year.
Liam also said that he and Louis Tomlinson had hated each other when they were in One Direction and claimed to have been thrown against a wall by one of his bandmates.
The headline-grabbing claims didn’t go down well with fans, and they took to Twitter to goad the hitmaker with viral memes and start joke trends about his social media accounts being blocked.

The source talks to Ok! has now said he regrets the things he said about the boys in the past and that he didn’t think he would get the backlash he did.
The insider claimed he tried to get in touch with Harry and Niall to get the band back together, but is concerned he has “burned his bridges with Zayn.”
After the podcast, he apologized for his comments, saying he had a “chip on my shoulder” and was “taking it out on everyone.”
He added that he appears to be referring to the One Direction members as “loves my boys.”
Liam said the criticism had caused him to go “pretty dark” and he didn’t leave his house for three months, but was able to laugh at the jokes.
Taking to his Instagram story on Saturday, he wrote, “It got pretty dark for me one time when you guys turned on me. I haven’t left the house for 3 months.’
He continued, “You know I’m sorry about all those things. I love my boys I’m not sure what was wrong with me other than I had a problem with me and I took it out on everyone…
“I’ve never had a bigger chip on my shoulder and I’m really glad I got rid of it.
“I hope you can forgive me in time, because we’ve been through a lot [too] a lot, but the jokes are funny, keep them coming.’
He then joked that he was “waiting to be blamed” if England lost the World Cup quarter-final against France.
Liam added: “If England win I hope I get blamed too, I’ll give you full license to block me… I’m kidding, please don’t block me.”
More recently, in a now-deleted Instagram post uploaded after the premiere of All Of That Voices, Liam spoke about his mistakes and emphasized his hope that one day his ex-bandmates will be able to put the past behind them .
“Seeing the world through your eyes last night was the most beautiful thing you experienced,” he wrote of the documentary, which looks at Louis’s journey through the music industry.
“My neck hurts from how much I look up to you now. You were already my friend and brother, but looking through that window into your world and mind only increases the respect I have for you. What you tackled and how you kept it all inside!!
“I’m so sorry I was so crazy and I didn’t do better for you, I’m embarrassed in those moments when I’m not as good a friend as you’ve been to me, at least I have time now and I’m myself again, so I’ll try to make it up to you.’
He also took steps to rekindle his friendship with Harry following his February Grammys success.
In an Instagram post after the event, he wrote: “Wow… this image is truly something to wake up to and when you write music like Harry you deserve every millisecond of that moment as you smile at the trophy you earned . God bless you brother congratulations.’
One Direction was founded on the X Factor in 2010 when Simon Cowell put them together.

Each member auditioned for the show individually, but failed to make it to the Judge’s Houses stage as solo acts.
They sold over 70 million records during a highly successful career before splitting up in 2016.
News of their extended hiatus was first revealed in August 2015, just a few months after Zayn unexpectedly left the band, leaving fans around the world heartbroken.
They have won 200 awards, including seven Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards and 28 Teen Choice Awards.
