At least one person has been killed in a massive stabbing on the Las Vegas strip.
Several others have been hospitalized after at least six people were stabbed near the Wynn casino in Encore. “The extent of the injuries” of the attacked is not known, a spokesman said.
Victims of stabbings include “showgirls” who work on the strip.
A witness said, “A man just started stabbing and cutting.”
A suspect has been arrested in front of the Venetian resort with significant amounts of blood ‘on his sleeves’.
The stabbing was reported around 11:42 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said.
Police were called to a casino on the 3100 block of S. Las Vegas Boulevard.
Las Vegas Boulevard is closed to traffic on Spring Mountain Road.
Closures also affect Spring Mountain and other streets in the area.
