Olympic star Armand Duplantis and stunning model girlfriend risk same backlash as Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens after new viral TikTok video

Armand Duplantis and his beautiful girlfriend, model Desire Inglander, just set a world record and won Olympic gold. They’re celebrating on TikTok.

Duplantis, who represents Sweden but was born and raised in Louisiana, jumped 6.25 meters in Paris to claim one of the most memorable gold medals of the Paris Games so far.

And after a lap of honour that even saw him appear on Swedish television with a huge hangover, he is now enjoying some rest.

His girlfriend Inglander shared a new clip of Duplantis putting his gold medal around her neck, which her 800,000 followers loved.

But a similar gesture earlier in the Games made American gymnasts Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens the target of online criticism, with fans claiming Owens had taken advantage of his wife in a power grab.

Inglander’s post seemed to dissuade her followers from drawing the same conclusion. She captioned the video: “Not mine, I know.”

By Saturday morning, the clip had already been viewed more than 14 million times on her TikTok page.

And in the comments below, fans are busy discussing one of the most beautiful couples to come out of the Games.

Canadian diver Molly Carlson wrote: “I’m obsessed with you two hahahah,” while another fan commented: “I had no idea who you were before this happened and now I’m obsessed.”

Another comment read: ‘I tell my children: this is the king and this is the queen.’

Biles, who secured her spot as the most decorated gymnast in U.S. Olympic history, was forced to address the trolls who criticized her and her husband, saying, “The crazy thing is I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures. So never make assumptions.

“Like you’re all so f***ing miserable. Leave us alone.”

Owens, an NFL player for the Chicago Bears, was allowed to leave the team’s training camp — where they are preparing for the upcoming NFL season — to travel to Paris and cheer her on.

But he has at times been a polarizing figure among the passionate Biles fan base, despite his dedication to cheering his wife on from the stands as she competes on the biggest stage.

Owens revealed that the couple met through the dating app Raya and claimed he did not know Biles.

“I thought, ‘Let’s see who this is.’ I never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity,” he said. “The first thing I saw was they were just a bunch of [Instagram] followers. So in my mind I’m like, ‘Okay, she must be good.’

“I always say the men are the catch. We couldn’t do much because COVID hit and everything shut down.

“So she came to Houston. She lived in the suburbs, so she had to drive about 45 minutes. And the rest is history.”
