Olympic hero Peter Bol returned 20 NEGATIVE performance-enhancing drug tests after the only positive return that has his career on the brink of ruin.

Former Australian track and field star Matt Shirvington has revealed that Olympic hero under siege Peter Bol passed 20 drug tests after returning a single positive result for the performance-enhancing drug EPO.
Australian athletics was rocked yesterday by news that the Tokyo star had been provisionally suspended pending the return of his B sample results after Bol returned a positive A sample from a test on October 11.
EPO is the same drug the former Tour de France rider confessed to using that increases the body’s ability to produce red blood cells and allows it to use more oxygen.
Bol’s career is on the line after he tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug EPO A Sample and is now sweating over the B Sample results in February.
Now Shirvington, a former Australian sprinter and current media personality, has revealed that Bol passed 20 consecutive tests after that positive result.
“Peter Bol being caught up in a debacle like this is devastating for athletics in Australia,” Shirvington told 7NEWS.
‘Your camp is very confused. Baffled by the situation.
“I understand that Peter Bol has not only had this test, but has also had 20 tests since this (since October 11), and only one of them has come back positive.”
Bol protested his innocence, handed over his phone and laptop, and ordered two B-sample test results to clear his name.

“To be clear, I have NEVER in my life purchased, researched, possessed, administered or used synthetic EPO or any other banned substance,” he posted on Twitter.
‘Above all, I am hopeful that the process will exonerate me. My career, hopes and dreams are literally on the line for the next few weeks, and I ask everyone to respect my privacy while I remain provisionally suspended.”
His manager, James Templeton, said it was a “brutal situation.”

Bol has been defended by his manager, coach and contemporaries as he fights to clear his name from a positive drug test for performance-enhancing drugs EPO.
Bol’s trainer, Justin Rinaldi, also defended his athlete in a post on his Fast 8 Track Club Twitter business page.
“I can 100% confirm that Pete NEVER considered taking a performance-enhancing drug, let alone injecting one,” he said.
‘We have always been open and transparent about our training and will continue to do so.
“All we can do is trust the process and be open and honest.”
