Olympiacos vs Aston Villa – Europa Conference League: Live score, team news and updates as Unai Emery’s side need to overturn a two-goal deficit if they wish to advance to the final in Athens

It’s fair to say that Aston Villa had a nightmare last week.

Going into the first leg, the Villans were the favorites to win the league, but things quickly changed once the game got underway.

Villa did not perform at the level we have come to expect from them, while Olympiacos were ruthless. A hat-trick from Ayoub El Kaabi and Santiago Hezze’s deflected attack stunned Villa Park.

Villa did draw level at one point through Ollie Watkins and Moussa Diaby, but they could not keep out the clinical Greek side.

Their evening was made worse when Douglas Luiz missed from the spot to make it 4-3. It was not his finest evening in Villa colours.

Remember, it’s only half way, but it’s going to take a monumental display from the England side to turn things around tonight.

Villa may be offline, but it’s not out yet.
