Olivia Wilde is the picture of summer style in a loose top and drawstring pants during solo stroll in NYC

Olivia Wilde was the epitome of summer style as she toured her native New York City solo on Friday afternoon.

For her shopping, the 40-year-old director of Don’t Worry Darling wore a loose white shirt.

She tucked her top partially into a pair of wide, blue-striped drawstring pants.

Wilde, who recently shared a rare photo of her daughter, completed her outfit with a pair of white lace-up shoes and a large canvas bag.

The makeup-free star looked stunning in black Ray-Ban sunglasses and her brown hair in a bun.

Wilde is not only an acclaimed director and hardworking actress, but also the mother of two children: daughter Daisy, seven, and son Otis, ten.

She shares Daisy and Otis with her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis, 48.

Wilde and Sudeikis split in November 2020 after a seven-year engagement.

Last October, the exes reached a “week-on, week-off” custody arrangement for their children.

After they made the arrangement, a source told PEOPLE that Wilde and Sudeikis were “in a good place” regarding their co-parenting relationship.

Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com last September reveal that Ted Lasso agreed to pay his ex $27,500 a month in child support, plus 25% of child care costs.

Sudeikis publicly served Wilde with custody papers at CinemaCon 2022, just as she was debuting her film Don’t Worry Darling, which she directed, produced, and co-starred in.

Although it caused a lot of commotion, the former partners appear to have resolved the matter amicably and now have a permanent co-parenting plan.

The couple’s history dates back to when they first started dating in November 2011. Their first date was a dinner at a restaurant in New York City, which eventually led to their engagement the following year.

The couple welcomed Otis and Daisy during their nine-year relationship, but in 2020, they announced their split.

Wilde is best known to most fans for her role as Remy “Thirteen” Hadley on the medical drama series House (2007–2012), but others may have first recognized her work on The O.C. (2004–2005); both series aired on Fox.

Her television resume also includes starring roles in NBC’s The Black Donnellys (2007) and HBO’s Vinyl (2016), both of which aired for one season before being canceled.

After also building a film career as an actress with roles in Tron: Legacy (2010, Cowboys & Aliens (2011), The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013) and The Lazarus Effect (2016), Wilde now appears to be focusing on her work behind the camera as a director.

She made her feature film directorial debut with the coming-of-age comedy Booksmart (2019), starring Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein, Jessica Williams, Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte, and Sudeikis.

Wilde also directed the short film Wake Up (2020) and then directed Don’t Worry Darling (2022), starring lead actress Florence Pugh and Wilde’s ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, 30.

Her ex-wife Sudeikis first saw his fame rise as a writer and star of the NBC sketch comedy Saturday Night Live (2003-2013), after which his stardom only increased.

He is the co-creator of the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso, in which he currently stars.
