Olivia Wilde claims ex Jason Sudeikis is not paying alimony

Olivia Wilde has accused Jason Sudeikis of making her pay 100% of the cost of caring for their children when they are with her, despite his “significantly higher” income.

The TRON star has filed a formal request for child support from the Ted Lasso actor, 47, to help fund the daily needs of Otis, eight, and Daisy, six, as she claimed they need to get it over with on an interim arrangement while the details of their custody issues are settled.

In documents obtained by The blast, she wrote, “Jason is not currently paying child support to me, despite my requests through counsel to agree on a tentative amount of support to avoid further litigation in this case.

“While Jason and I have split certain expenses for the children, such as their school fees, I bear 100% of the cost of caring for the children when they are with me, including but not limited to their food, clothing, childcare, extracurricular activities and transportation costs.

“I ask the Court to issue an order regarding child support so that I can adequately care for our children consistent with Jason’s standard of living.”

Olivia also asked that Jason be forced to pay her $500,000 attorney fees, not only because he has a higher income, but also because of his “blatant, unnecessary and aggressive behavior.”

She wrote, “I am also asking Jason to contribute to my attorney’s and accountant’s fees and expenses, not only because he is financially in a significantly better position than I am, but because the vast majority of the fees I have made, have been paid. due to the blatant, unnecessary and aggressive behavior of Jason and his counsel.

“While I have not yet received any specific financial information from Jason, I understand and believe that he is richer than I am and has a much larger income. I have no reason to believe that Jason would dispute this.’

The Blast reports that Olivia told the court she was making more than $40,000 a month in salary, including another $60,000 from Wilde Company income and rental income. She also has $645,187 in bank accounts and over $107,000 in other assets.

But Olivia has said she has more than $107,000 in monthly expenses.

MailOnline has reached out to a Jason Sudeikis spokesperson for comment.

Despite what goes on behind the scenes, Olivia and Jason seemed more comfortable with each other when they reunited on Sunday to attend their son’s soccer game in Los Angeles.

The actress turned filmmaker and former Saturday Night Live star both beamed as they cheered on their son Otis from the sidelines.

The exes, whose split was reported in November 2020, both seemed friendly towards each other and were seen sharing their daughter Daisy’s affections.

Jason even brought along a friend for the youth game, his Ted Lasso costar Brendan Hunt, who co-created the series with him and plays his sidekick Coach Beard on the show.

The friendly display comes after Wilde appeared to plead poverty in lawsuits last week despite being worth more than $10 million, claiming that Sudeikis is extending his lawsuit with her because he is trying to “litigate her into debt.”

It was noted that she spends $107,000 a month, which includes nearly $4,000 on laundry and cleaning, a mortgage of over $58,000, and a whopping $6,500 on utilities such as gas, water, and electricity.

Her total net worth is $10,569,736, she revealed in a statement of income and expenses included in her childcare battle with Sudeikis.

The revelation came on the day she and Sudeikis were due to face each other in court in Los Angeles. The hearing was pulled from the docket at the last minute.

In her statement filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Wilde said she has $645,187 in bank accounts, $3,902,689 in stocks and bonds, and $6,021,860 in real estate and other property, making her total worth $10,569. 736.

Wilde said her monthly income is $71,667.

While Jason reportedly can afford to file one filing after another, “Olivia can’t,” her lawyers wrote ahead of a hearing scheduled for today in Los Angeles, which has now been cancelled.

“Jason seems determined to throw everything he can against the wall to see what sticks, and this Request for Order requesting a postponement of the California Parentage action is just the latest example,” they add.

She accused him of being “underhanded” and acting “in bad faith” about the future of their two children.

The recent hearing would be about whether California courts should determine the feuding couple’s fight over the children, Otis and Daisy, or whether New York is the correct location. But a New York judge rejected Sudeikis’ request for a second time to move the case to the East Coast.

Olivia says the case has already been resolved and it should be in LA, but her ex is “blacking out” in his bid to hold future Brooklyn hearings. Child support awards in New York tend to be lower than in California.

“Jason should not be allowed to sue Olivia in debt and then demand that she be stripped of the right to seek needs-based compensation from him,” her attorneys wrote.

The drama between the exes during their legal battle has entered the public eye on multiple occasions, including when she became infamous with custody papers while on stage at CinemaCon last April.

Wilde called the incident “an assault on her workplace,” but said she wasn’t surprised because there was a “reason” she had left her relationship with Sudeikis.

In court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, she argued that the decision to serve her on stage in front of an audience was an attempt to “threaten” and “embarrass” her.

Sudeikis filed a lawsuit against his ex in October 2021 in New York City Family Court, and the dispute largely revolved around where the children would live.

While he wanted them to live in Brooklyn, Wilde hoped they would stay in Los Angeles and possibly move to London, where her then-boyfriend Harry Styles lived.

In a legal filing signed on August 5 last year, a judge ruled that “New York was not the home state of the children involved” and that “California was the home state of the children.”

“Therefore, for the reasons stated in the file dated July 15, 2022, the Defendant’s request to dismiss the applications for custody filed on October 21, 2021 is granted,” the filing, which was reviewed by Page Six, said. .

The court determined that “New York has no jurisdiction to hear the custody requests” because it is not Otis and Daisy’s home state.

Wilde filed a petition in May to “establish parental relationship in the Superior Court of California, in LA,” the filing said. Her legal team decided on May 18 to legally dismiss Sudeikis’ custody case.

Experts at the time claimed that the custody battle was likely to continue in California.

In Wilde’s motion to dismiss Sudeikis’ lawsuit, the actress alleged that she and he had initially agreed to send their children back to school in Los Angeles for the upcoming school year because Sudeikis was watching the final season of the Apple TV series Ted. Lasso would finish. for which he should have been in London.

“Recently, however, Jason decided he wanted to go to New York for the next year while he wasn’t working, and wanted the kids there to be with him during this time off,” the actress said in the filing. “When I disagreed, since the kids haven’t lived in New York for several years, Jason filed these papers.”

Olivia and Jason were in a relationship from 2011. He proposed a year later, but they never got married.

They announced their divorce in late 2020 – revealing that they had secretly broken off their engagement early this year.
