Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe Lattanzi shares heartbreaking tribute to her late mother: ‘I don’t know how to swim in this ocean without you’

Chloe Lattanzi has shared a touching tribute to her late mother Olivia Newton-John.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 37-year-old actress and singer shared an image of her hand in front of some framed photos of her mother.

‘I can’t explain the waves. I don’t know how to swim in this ocean without you,” she wrote in the caption.

The accompanying image showed photos of Olivia when she was young, including one of her holding Chloe as a baby.

It comes after Chloe said she felt her mother’s “presence” at her state funeral in Melbourne earlier this year.

Chloe gave a heartbreaking eulogy at the memorial service, admitting that she felt like a “little girl lost without her mother.”

Lattanzi told Sunrise from Channel Seven that she was able to give the emotional speech because she felt her dead mother inside her.

“It was the perfect night and I really felt Mom’s spirit there. I think love got us through it,” she told host Natalie Barr.

“It was difficult to get there. I got there because I listened to my mother in me and she said, “You are so strong, my love, you can do it.”

Lattanzi continued, “It is a privilege to stand up and shout from the mountain top how proud you are of your mother.

“It was love that lifted me up and mom came into my body and carried me through.”

An emotional Lattanzi was joined by her husband James Driskill as she walked on stage and burst into tears at Hamer Hall in Melbourne.

“I’m standing here so desperate I want to feel strong and confident and speak eloquently, but the truth is I feel like a little girl lost without her mother,” she said.

She was my safe place, my guide, my biggest fan and the earth beneath my feet. I know she’s right here beside me and inside me. I can hear her voice.’

Lattanzi went on to say that her mother was the “perfect example of a life really lived,” even though her life was tragically cut short by cancer.

“My mother could find the beauty in everything,” she said.

‘I loved our hugs. I would crawl into bed with her late at night even until I was 20 years old. I loved the way she smelled. Nothing felt safer to me. I loved writing and singing music with her and how she would always notice if I was a little out of tune.

“I loved how she loved completely and completely. And I know she would want me to tell you all how grateful she was for each individual special relationship.”
