After leading LSU to a College World Series title, Skenes played in five minor league games last summer.

Skenes was selected by the Pirates with the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft. Additionally, he and Dylan Crews became the first college teammates in league history to be selected with the first two overall picks after Crews was drafted by the Nationals .

While Skenes’ professional career looks promising in the minors, Dunne has been on a tear with the LSU gymnastics team as she aims to win a national title before she graduates.

On March 23, Dunne and the 19-3 Tigers captured the SEC title. They enter the national championship tournament on April 4 as the second-seeded team.

While they competed in their respective fields, Baton Rouge’s Dunne supported Skenes as the pitcher participated in Spring training earlier this month. Dunne and Skenes also briefly reunited on March 26, which Dunne showed off by posting a selfie with her boyfriend on her Instagram Story.
