She earned an average score of 9,850 at last year’s SEC championships, and also began her modeling career by posing for Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition.
“When people look at my Sports Illustrated photos, I want them to see that you can have the best of both worlds,” Dunne said in footage captured for the magazine’s photoshoot.
“You can be an athlete, you can go to school, you can model, but you can have the best of both worlds — and you can be a strong, independent woman while doing all of this.”

Over the summer, Dunne confirmed that she is in a relationship with exciting Pirates prospect Paul Skenes, who was entered in the 2023 MLB draft as the No. 1 overall pick.
“As a female athlete, I hope I can bring attention to how great college sports are and how difficult college athletics are,” Dunne continued to tell SI. “People don’t see my college athletics every day (behind the scenes), and it’s very time consuming.
“In gymnastics, a lot of people only watch the Olympics once every four years, and I feel like I’ve been able to use my platform to bring an audience to college gymnastics, and people are starting to see how great already these gymnasts are. ‘
Prior to the start of her senior year at LSU, Dunne said she feared for her safety on the school’s campus due to her ever-growing fame. She has therefore decided to only take online classes for the last two semesters at university.
