Olivia Attwood’s footballer husband Bradley Dack reveals he was ‘absolutely gutted’ when she went on Love Island: ‘I tried to stop her’

Olivia Attwood’s husband Bradley Dack revealed he begged her not to go on Love Island as they had their first TV interview together on Loose Women on Wednesday.

The footballer, 29, admitted he was ‘absolutely gutted’ when then on/off girlfriend Olivia took part in series three of the popular ITV2 dating series in 2017.

Bradley revealed he was with Olivia the night before she left for Mallorca in an attempt to ‘stop’ her.

He said: β€œIt didn’t work out for a lot of reasons. I was completely devastated. I tried to stop her.”

The Loose Women panellist revealed the couple were ‘not exclusive’ and without him she had to ‘spread her wigs’.

She added: β€œWe weren’t in a strong place and I had to spread my wigs. Actually, we weren’t exclusive.’

Bradley – who met Olivia eight years ago at Libertine nightclub in London – discussed why their relationship originally failed, saying they were ‘young’ and needed to grow up.

He said: β€œI think we were just young and there were a lot of things I hadn’t learned and neither had Liv. There was always a problem and as we got older we learned from it.”

Olivia added, “We dated a lot and it was just messy and immature.”

The blonde beauty became Chris Hughes’ girlfriend on Love Island, but after their split, Bradley got back in touch with his former flame.

He revealed: β€œI think I just called her and you didn’t save my number and you were surprised to hear from me. You took the olive branch and we ran with it.”

Olivia added: “I think I would have found it hard not to answer the phone but I think I would have known it was the wrong thing to do but you called me a lot and my old relationship went down in flames and you took that as your opportunity.’

The footballer replied: β€œI felt like the way we felt about each other was special and that pulled us through.

“I think in any relationship you have to work at it and it’s not going to be perfect from the start, and it’s about getting through the situations.”

Bradley went on to reveal that Olivia’s ‘sense of humor originally attracted him to her’, with Olivia getting quite ’emotional’ on the ITV talk show while discussing their romance.

She added, β€œI’m crazy and hyperactive and he’s the first person I’ve been with who has calmed my nervous energy. I get quite emotional and he’s obviously not bad to watch.”

Olivia and Bradley tied the knot at the luxury five-star Bulgari Hotel in Knightsbridge last June and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the couple finally said their vows.

The appearance comes after Olivia revealed the couple had a falling out over whether they wanted to start a family.

Olivia appeared on Loose Women in December, where the panel discussed Sienna Miller’s pregnancy at the age of 41 and whether there was any judgment about women getting pregnant later in life, revealing that Bradley is desperate to start a family but is not she.

Olivia said, “I’m sitting here listening to you girls, and I think I’m going to be a geriatric mom, as they call it.”

Charlene White asked her if she wanted to have children in the near future, to which she replied, β€œNo. I mean, never say never, you know, and all that stuff.

β€œI’m obviously married and very happy and Brad would love to have one tomorrow.

‘But other things concern me at the moment. I don’t have that maternal instinct yet. The way things are going, I’ll probably be around 35 years old. It’s strange to hear that they call when they’re elderly.’

Jane Moore asked Olivia if she saw a future without children.

Olivia said: β€œI don’t see that being the case, but I wouldn’t say that’s never going to happen either. I’m very open to whatever direction it goes.”
