Coleen’s outing comes after Rebekah Vardy sensationally claimed she was “framed” during the Wagatha Christie affair.
Earlier this year Rebekah, 40, sued Coleen for libel – and lost – after Ms Rooney alleged in October 2019 that Ms Vardy’s social media account leaked stories about her to the press.
In an interview for a new documentary that will examine both sides of the bitter lawsuit, she says: “I wonder how easy it would be to trap someone in such a way that it seems that the only person is who has seen that [leaked Instagram] messages?’
She added, “I find it absolutely unbelievable to this day that she said no one else knew about this.”
