Oliva Rodrigo sparks bitter debate after handing out free PLAN B to teen concert-goers as part of new ‘reproductive health freedom’ initiative
Oliva Rodrigo made a very clear statement about her stance on reproductive rights after handing out free Plan Bs to teenage concertgoers, sparking a wave of debate among social media users.
One fan – known only as Kin – posted on X, formerly Twitter, a photo of the Julie brand Morning After pill she received at the singer’s concert in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Grammy Award winner, 21, teamed up with the Missouri Abortion Fund — and a pregnancy education text line called Right By You — to hand out emergency contraceptives and condoms during her show earlier this month.
Olivia launched her GUTS world tour in February and announced her Fund 4 Good initiative to “support all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom.”

In the original social media post, shared earlier this week, Kin revealed a snapshot of the products she received, along with a caption that read, “Free Plan B tonight at Olivia Rodrigo in St. Louis.” Thank you Missouri Abortion Fund.”
In response to the initiative, a spokesperson for the Missouri Abortion Fund said Today: “This is just a normal part of what many abortion foundations, including the Missouri Abortion Fund, bring to our community events.
“We want to ensure that Missourians have maximum control over their own reproductive health care.”
They continued, “We appreciate Olivia lifting abortion funds, especially as many funds have seen a decline in donations since 2023.”
The Plan B product normally costs between $40 and $50 Planned Parenthood.
The brand handed out at the star’s recent concert was Julie, which is sold over the counter at several pharmacies.
“Replacing the stigma and shame often associated with emergency contraception with access, exploration and education is core to who we are, and we are grateful for artists like Olivia Rodrigo,” a spokesperson for Julie told the outlet.
And dozens of fans flocked to the comments to share their support for the initiative.
