Rasmus Hojland was spotted leaving a photo shoot the day before Manchester United planned to unveil him, having completed a £72 million move for the striker.
Desperate to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s frontline ahead of the new season, United secured a great deal for Atalanta for the frontman, who promptly underwent his medical and signed a five-year contract earlier this week.
Hojlund, 20, flew to Manchester on Tuesday afternoon after United paid a fee and reported to the club’s Carrington training complex, although an announcement was seemingly delayed and his medical checks took priority.
Now the final touches appear to be being put on the high-profile switch, United’s third of the summer, after the photo shoot.

Denmark international Hojlund follows both Mason Mount and Andre Onana through the door at Old Trafford and is expected to be a regular starter next season.
Atalanta was hesitant to let go of their prized asset, but United were eager to seal the deal and eventually reached an agreement including add-ons.
