Ola and James Jordan discuss their three-year-old daughter Ella’s health problems, which have left her struggling to hear after a chronic ear infection.
Ola and James Jordan opened up about their daughter’s health issues after she had trouble hearing properly.
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Ola, 40, and her partner James, 44, welcomed three-year-old Ella into the world in 2020.
And last year, the couple were concerned after Ella battled a chronic ear infection, which led her to undergo a series of tests.
Update from fans, James and Ola wrote their Hello! magazine column: ‘The test showed that his left ear is nothing to worry about. His right ear definitely has a sticky ear.
“They don’t want to put grommets right now, so they’ll check it again in about three months and see how it’s doing.”

Sticky ear is when the empty middle part of the ear canal fills with fluid that can cause temporary hearing loss, according to the NHS.
Whilst it usually clears up within three months, it is recommended to seek the advice of a GP if hearing problems are experienced.
It comes after Ella celebrated her third birthday over the weekend, with Ola taking to Instagram to share a photo from the party.
She wrote: “So Ella had the most amazing birthday party today with all her friends and family. Thank you so much for everyone who came together to create such an amazing day.” Even all the adults loved it.
It came after James opened up about his strong stance on how Ella holds her own against others in the world.
She said she insists that her daughter learn to hit back if someone hits her first.
In a new interview, James recalled that Ella was hit by another little boy while playing a soft game and how she handled the situation.
He said Hello! magazine: ‘I told him: “Listen, it was very bad for that boy to hit. We never hit, never.” “But,” I said, “if someone hits you, you hit them back.”

I strongly believe in this. I know they don’t teach that in school. I saw the other moms look at me like, “Oh, you can’t say that.” But it’s something I firmly believe in; It’s the only way to stand up to bullies.
‘If you get hit and someone keeps hitting you and hitting you, what do you do? Do you go and tell the teacher that he doesn’t do anything?
‘So I’ll teach Ella never to hit. If she ever hits someone, I’ll discipline her very harshly, but if someone hits her first, she hits them back so they never hit her again. And I believe in that.
James believes in the mantra so much that he says he doesn’t mind any “backlash” from “wake people up” because “no one can tell me how to raise my son.”
Ola said that she was “cringing” when James was talking to Ella, since they could hear them.
However, she “understands” because she wants her son to stand up for himself.
James added that other people could be confident of finding an adult in similar situations, but “if someone hits my child, she can hit them back.”
He said that he was against physical violence but strongly believed that if you are attacked you should defend yourself and that this is something that children should learn from an early age.
