An Oklahoma cop was filmed by colleagues crying hysterically as he crawled out of the bedroom where he had just shot and killed his wife, another police officer.
Cleveland County Deputy Vaughn Cannon, 41, was arrested after Oklahoma City police were called due to reports of a domestic disturbance at 2 a.m. at the home on Brookstone Lake Drive.
Bodycam footage shows the moment officers arrived at the bedroom door where Cannon was crying next to the body of his wife, Deputy Jordan Cannon, 40.
“Is there anyone else with you?” calls an officer.
“There’s my wife,” Cannon replied.

Jordan joined the Cleveland County Police Department just three months after her husband
“Is she okay?” the officer asked.
“No,” said Kanon.
“We have to help her, but we can’t help her unless you help us, you know how this works,” the officer yells.
“Please don’t have a gun, please don’t have a gun,” his colleague warns.
The door opens and Cannon crawls out, seemingly trying to make a call with the phone in his hand. “Uncle come to me, uncle come to me,” he calls into the phone.
“Uncle Charles, Charles, Charles, Charles.”
The dramatic footage was released by the police station where all those involved worked.
Cleveland County Sheriff Chris Amason said he was “heartbroken” by the death of his colleague, reportedly at the hands of the man he personally sworn in at the department in March 2021.
“I’m so angry, I’m angry that he killed her,” he said KFOR.
“To be honest, we’re all upset and upset about this.
“As sheriff, I was not aware that they both had domestic problems while they worked here.”
“Jordan has family and they are clearly heartbroken.
“She has a 17-year-old who is clearly negatively impacted by this and two more stepchildren from the marriage.
“They will need time and space to heal.”
Speaking later at a press conference, he added: “This is something no one can prepare for. We ask for your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this devastating event,” he later told a news conference.

“Jordon was a ray of sunshine with a smile that could light up a room. She loved law enforcement and had a heart for serving others.”
Hundreds of people showed up for an emotional candlelight vigil outside the Cleveland County courthouse, who filed divorce papers against her husband, only to rescind them months later.
Fellow Lieutenant Kyle Bridges described the murdered woman as “an example to the community.”
“She was an example not only to the community, but also to police officers and especially female officers,” he added.
“You’re shocked, you’re sad, you’re angry, because it’s something senseless and tragic,” he told a news conference.
The bodycam footage ends with an officer stepping into the bedroom over Cannon’s sprawling body as another officer handcuffs him and advises him to “breathe.”
Jordan followed her husband to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office in June 2021, where he started working as a school assistant before moving to the patrol division, where he later served as an instructor on the crisis intervention team.
The Okarche Police Department, where Jordan began her career, paid a touching tribute to her on its Facebook page.

Dozens of mourners turned out for a candlelight vigil in honor of the slain officer
“Many will remember her dedication to the Okarche Public Schools, where she spent most days reading to children and keeping them safe,” Police Chief Forrest R Smith wrote.
“This heinous act not only robs us of a dedicated and courageous officer, but also shakes the very foundations of the community she served.
“In the end, it’s not the years in uniform that count; it is the sacrifices made, the lives touched and the legacy left behind.”
Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene. Cannon has been arrested and charged with one murder.
