In an almost two minute video he posted ahead of the Super Bowl, the controversial superstar addressed those who had inquired about his health.

In February, it was revealed that Simpson had prostate cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatments in Las Vegas.

“Obviously I’m dealing with some issues, but I think I’m almost over it and will hopefully be back on that golf course in a few weeks.”

In a nearly two-minute video he posted ahead of the Super Bowl, the controversial superstar addressed those who had inquired about his health.

At the time, he fought rumors that he was in hospice care.

On Thursday, his family announced that he had “succumbed to his battle with cancer,” surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

In 2019, on the 25th anniversary of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, of which he was accused before being acquitted, Simpson launched a Twitter account.

He quickly amassed hundreds of thousands of followers and quickly made a name for himself through his presence on the app, often posting short videos of himself giving his opinions and commentary on a range of topics.
