Caitlyn Jenner reacts to OJ Simpson’s death 30 years after killing of his wife and her friend tore Kardashians apart: ‘Good riddance’

Caitlyn Jenner has broken her silence on OJ Simpson’s death, simply saying in a social media post: “Good Riddance.”

Jenner, 74, — whose ex-wife Kris Jenner was a close friend of OJ Simpson and his late wife Nicole — posted the comment X, formerly Twitter, to her 3.3 million followers on Thursday.

The infamous murder suspect, who was later found civilly liable for the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, died Wednesday evening at the age of 76 at his Las Vegas home after a brief battle with prostate cancer.

Jenner shared on a reality TV show in 2021 that she felt like OJ killed Nicole and Ron.

And in Caitlyn’s autobiography The Secrets Of My Life, she said she didn’t like him, adding that he was “the most narcissistic, self-centered, neediest guy in the sports world I’d ever seen, and I’d seen a lot of them.” .’

Caitlyn hasn’t been shy about expressing her opinions about Simpson.

In 2021 she said during the Australian TV show Big Brother VIP that she thinks Simpson ‘got away’ with Nicole’s murder.

“Obviously he did it, and he got away with it, and at one point he even told Nicole, ‘I’ll kill you and get away with it, because I’m OJ Simpson,’” Jenner said on the show.

Kris was married to OJ’s attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., who died of esophageal cancer in 2003.

Kardashian was one of OJ’s attorneys during Simpson’s murder trial over the 1994 stabbing deaths of Brown and her boyfriend Ron Goldman.

A costar asked Jenner if it was difficult watching OJ’s trial. OJ was acquitted of the double murders in 1995.

“It was an extremely difficult time,” Jenner said. ‘Nicole was Kris’s best friend. Been like that for a long time.

“Two days before the murder, I was at Nicole’s house,” Jenner continued.

“Obviously he did it, and he got away with it, and at one point he even told Nicole, ‘I’ll kill you and get away with it, because I’m OJ Simpson.’ And Nicole relayed that to Kris at some point, and unfortunately she was right.”

Caitlyn added, “We were at the courthouse. We watch what’s happening in the other room, and even after the not guilty verdict, Kris turns to me first and says, ‘We should have listened to Nicole. She was right from the start.”

Simpson was found liable for the deaths in 1997 in a civil case brought by the families of the two victims.

In 2008, Simpson was convicted for his role in the armed robbery and kidnapping of two sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas.

He was released from prison in 2017 after serving nine years.

Caitlyn wrote in her autobiography The Secrets Of My Life that she was not fond of the Naked Gun actor.

“We both came from the same world of the male athlete with all its stereotypes and behavioral expectations, a kind of identity I’m going to call the gender of the male athlete,” the former Olympian wrote.

“I fought it because of my issues and the extreme discomfort in that world and the constant objectification of women, and the endless bragging about fucking to the point where you had to wonder what these guys were really hiding.

‘OJ was at the complete opposite end of the spectrum to me – women as eye candy and sex toys, physically abusive when he didn’t get his way or felt challenged, the loud life of the party wherever and whenever , like so many other athletes.”

Caitlyn added, “Whenever I looked in the mirror and hated myself, I would look at OJ and see a monster of a male athlete.

“I wonder if this contributed to my feelings of awkwardness around him, even though he embodied an archetype that people expected of me.

“There were other factors that contributed to my dislike for him: He was the most narcissistic, self-centered, most needy person in the sports world I had ever seen, and I had seen a lot of it.”
