An Ohio TV reporter is fighting for her life after being shot by a gunman who then committed suicide.
Winnie Dortch was seriously injured in Monday’s shooting in Lakewood, Ohio, which police described as a domestic dispute, according to The Express Tribune.
Lakewood police said they received calls just before 8 a.m. of two people arguing on Clifton Boulevard.
Police rushed to a house and found the seriously injured journalist on the sidewalk next to the gunman.
He turned the gun on himself and was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter has not been named. Lakewood detectives say he and Dortch were “acquainted” with each other, but have not commented further on the relationship.
Dortch was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center in serious condition.
