Ohio sheriff reveals controversial plan to house illegal migrants as he asks residents to ‘write down all the addresses’ with Kamala Harris campaign signs

An Ohio sheriff is asking residents to write down the addresses of homes supporting Kamala Harris in the presidential campaign, suggesting that these homes could be forced to house illegal immigrants flooding the state in the future.

Portage County Sheriff Bruce Zuchowski, southeast of Cleveland, is advising residents to be on the lookout for signs in the yards honoring the Democratic presidential candidate, especially Harris/Walz.

“When people ask me… What’s going to happen if the Flip-Flopping, Laughing Hyena wins??” Zuchowski wrote, referring to the current vice president. “I say… Write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in their yards!

“So… if the illegal human ‘Locust’ (who she supports!) needs a place to live… we already have the addresses of their new families… who supported their arrival!” Zuchowski wrote in a Facebook post using anti-immigrant rhetoric.

In the comments below his Facebook post, which has been shared hundreds of times, one of his supporters responded: “I’m adding that name to the list,” while another responded: “I’m making a list and checking it twice.”

Zuchowski faces a Democratic challenger for re-election in November.

In the 2020 election, Portage County voted 55 percent for Trump, while 43 percent chose Biden.

But not everyone agrees with Zuchowski, including Republican Portage County Commissioner Tony Badalamenti.

“I just thought it was pretty ignorant. Once it’s on Facebook, nobody cares where it came from. If it’s you, it’s you,” Badalamenti told Fox 8.

‘Everyone has their own thought process on how to represent their party. I don’t agree with that behavior.

‘[Zuchowski] posted that we should all write down the addresses of people who wear political signs that differ from our beliefs.

“It scares people. It’s called bullying — from the top law enforcement officer in Portage County.”

Zuchowski’s announcement comes as Ohio is in the news for the sudden influx of tens of thousands of Haitian migrants into the city of Springfield in the southwestern corner of the state, about 200 miles (320 kilometers) from Portage County.

Residents of the town of just 60,000 say the infrastructure can’t handle the influx of so many people at once, and say crime is quickly becoming a problem.

“It’s like living in a dystopian nightmare. You’re hoping you wake up and it’s 2019 again, and then you realize it’s 2024, and it’s the same old thing, day after day. Sometimes it’s hard to wake up in the morning and hear residents I’ve known for years struggling,” Springfield resident Diana Daniels said. Fox News.

“This is a paycheck to paycheck kind of city… working class. The citizens who rely on our social services like health care, who go to the SS office for benefits, stand in line and don’t get the services they need.”

Trump claimed during last week’s presidential debate that Haitian refugees “ate the dogs, the people that came in, they ate the cats.” The claim was turned into a meme

Trump won Ohio with 53.27% of the vote, defeating Biden, who received 45.24% of the vote in the 2020 election.

This claim was later repeated during Trump’s presidential debate with Kamala Harris, where they discussed immigration and border security.

Trump went further, claiming that Haitian refugees “ate the dogs, the people that came here ate the cats.”

“They’re eating the pets of the people who live there, and that’s what’s happening in our country, and it’s a disgrace,” Trump said in response.

According to local officials, the claims are untrue.

Springfield Mayor Rob Rue said “a lie” is tearing the city of nearly 59,000 apart.

“In response to recent reports of criminal activity by immigrants in our city, we want to make it clear that there are no credible reports or specific allegations that pets have been abused, injured or mistreated by individuals within the immigrant community,” the city said in a statement.
