Offset and Quavo settle differences to honor their late Migos bandmate Takeoff on his birthday

Four months after their alleged backstage brawl, four-time Grammy nominee Quavo and three-time Grammy nominee Offset settle their differences to honor their late Migos bandmate Takeoff with a lantern ceremony on what would have been his 29th birthday on Sunday.

Georgians and others wore white T-shirts with the face of the two-time Grammy nominee (born Kirsnick Khari Ball), who was shot multiple times in the head and torso on Nov. 1 in Texas.

While at Fourth Ward Park in Atlanta, 32-year-old Quavo (née Quavious Marshall) told his cousin Takeoff’s close friends and family to put their hands on a lantern and pray.

The memorial lantern read: “To those whose names are extinguished, let this light represent our love and compassion. We will never forget you.’

The grieving group then released the lantern into the air in a touch video posted by Instagram user @parlae.

“Happy birthday, rocket man,” 31-year-old Offset (née Kiari Cephus) continued Instagram.

“Best to touch a microphone!” Best ghost ever! Purest man, I know your heart was gold, bring me peace, bra, we celebrate your life, because you are still here, I love you gang.”

Also in attendance was Takeoff’s mother, Titania Davenport, who filed a wrongful death lawsuit against 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston on June 7 for failing to take appropriate security measures to protect guests, according to Rolling Stone.

It’s hard to believe the hip-hop stars almost got into a brawl backstage at LA’s Crypto.com Arena during Quavo’s Grammy Awards tribute to Takeoff on Feb. 5.

‘You’re both wrong! This is not right!’ Offset’s Grammy-winning wife Cardi B told the couple in audio captured by ET.

“No bi***, shut up, because you shouldn’t have talked!”

The following morning, the Selling Crack rapper took to Twitter to downplay the alleged brawl, writing, “What it looks like fighting my brother is crazy.”

Offset’s second studio album, due this summer, features Cardi, Chloe Bailey, Latto, Future, Travis Scott and Takeoff.

“It’s hard for me to talk about s*** right now,” the father-of-five admitted to Variety on May 24.

“I’ve never talked about this stuff before. Serious. It’s hard to talk about Take, man. Talking about all this shit is hard. That’s why I don’t, to be honest. That hurts. It’ll put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood.

Some things I never tell anyone. He’s not here. That s*** feels fake, mate. I go through my day thinking it’s fake. And I don’t tell anyone about it.’

On May 25, strip club promoter/DJ Patrick Xavier Clark was indicted by a Texas grand jury for murder for allegedly firing a firearm into a crowd of 30 people partying and playing dice at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston.

Takeoff was an unarmed “innocent bystander” and was not involved in the dice game or the basketball brawls before 10 shots rang out from two different guns.

Cameron Isiah Joshua, 22, was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and was taken into custody on November 22.

Aside from Takeoff, two other people — 24-year-old Joshua “Wash” Washington and a 23-year-old woman — were rushed to hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries.”
