A calculator popular with schoolchildren and sold at Officeworks and through school supply suppliers has been withdrawn from shelves in Australia amid fears it could be unsafe for children.

The problem could cause choking or serious injury if young children swallow the batteries.
Consumers who have purchased the item are urged to immediately stop using the calculator and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The calculator model was sold by Officeworks and other school or office suppliers between June 2022 and January this year.
