Odell Beckham Jr. ‘will NOT face criminal charges’ after claims he attacked a woman by grabbing her throat in LA
Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly escaped criminal charges in an assault case after prosecutors concluded their investigation of the NFL star.
The Ravens denied last month that he grabbed a woman by the throat at a Los Angeles nightclub.
According to TMZprosecutors said surveillance footage from the Delilah restaurant in LA “contradicts the complaining witness’s account of the events.”
According to the report, prosecutors also said; “the video does not capture any battery,” nor were there any witnesses to corroborate the alleged victim’s account.
Ultimately, there was “insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Odell Beckham will reportedly not be charged by prosecutors in connection with an alleged assault
Allegations made by the alleged victim could not be confirmed by witnesses, according to TMZ
Representatives of Beckham Jr. said they had not been approached by police and were not aware of any investigation into the claims – denying any alleged wrongdoing.
Nightclub owner John Terzian said the venue had been approached by police who were conducting an investigation.
“We’ve been contacted about an investigation and we’ve reviewed the videos; the claim is false,” he said.
“There is no evidence that this person is even in the area where she claims the incident took place.”
The 30-year-old wideout signed a one-year, $15 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens in April
The wide receiver was out last season after a torn ACL in the 2022 Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl victory.
His new $15 million one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens could net him a whopping $18 million if the incentives are met.
Despite months of uncertainty, star quarterback Lamar Jackson will join Beckham at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday.
Jackson agreed to a five-year, $260 million deal with the AFC North franchise late last month.
