Odell Beckham Jr. ‘is looking for a one-year $15million contract in free agency’ as Jets continue to lead the race for former Giants and Rams wideout
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is seeking a lucrative new deal despite coming off of a second ACL tear, according to a new report.
Beckham Jr. hasn’t played since he won Super Bowl LVI with the Rams on February 13, 2022, and later said he actually tore his ACL well before that game. He previously tore his ACL with the Browns in 2020.
Nonetheless, the three-time Pro Bowler is ‘thought to be seeking’ a one-year, $15million deal according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
However, a deal between $10-12 million – with possible incentives – is more likely according to the report.
The update comes after ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported the Jets had emerged as the most likely landing spot for the free agent.
The Ravens have also made a play for Beckham, who met with Baltimore brass during last week’s league meetings in Arizona.

Beckham teased a potential Jets move on March 14 on Twitter by using a suggestive emoji
Beckham himself has teased a potential Jets signing.
After former Giants and Jets defensive tackle Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison asked him on Twitter if he’d be joining the Jets, Beckham Jr. replied to his ex-teammate with the eye emoji, furthering speculation that he could end up with Gang Green.
Beckham Jr. has been sharing clips of himself practicing this offseason after missing the entirety of last season.
And while he may still be working his way back from injury, it appears Beckham Jr. is wanted in New York.
Allen Lazard was hugely complementary to his fellow receiver after joining the Jets on a four-year, $44 million deal.
‘His talent is just endless,’ he told TMZ Sports.
‘So adding him to the room I think would be a huge addition, it’d be special for our entire locker room. And would definitely be excited and honored to play alongside him.’
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers – likely to soon be a Jet when New York can agree to trade terms with the Packers – also had kind words to say on the Pat McAfee show.
‘I mean, first of all, who wouldn’t want to have Odell on their team?’ Rodgers said.
Beckham posted 537 yards and five touchdowns in the 2021 regular season before adding 288 yards and two more scores in the postseason with the Rams.
