Observer uses AI to imagine what it might look like if police do take Trump down

As police officers in New York City and Washington DC prepare for potential riots should Donald Trump be indicted on allegations that he paid money to shut up a porn star, startling new images have emerged that appear to show that the former president is being arrested.

However, the shocking scenes in which Trump is taken down by police officers are not real, but have in fact been created using artificial intelligence technology by Bellingcat journalist Eliot Higgins.

Some of the fake footage shows Trump being chased by police officers down the street as his wife Melania screams. Others show the former president in jail in an orange jumpsuit.

The sequence shows Trump being arrested, standing trial in an orange jumpsuit, and has been created using Midjourney v5 artificial intelligence imagers. The images went viral on Twitter, with many users saying they initially thought the images were real.

“Legit thought these were real,” one person tweeted, while another said: “We really should watermark these revealing they are AI generated and not real.”
